Pupil Celebrations
At our school, we believe every child has moments where they shine — through their effort, their creativity, their kindness, or their growing independence. To recognise these achievements, we award a series of weekly certificates that highlight the wonderful things children are doing across the school.
The Clever Writing Award celebrates pupils who have shown something special in their writing. Whether they’ve used adventurous vocabulary, improved their spelling or punctuation, shared imaginative ideas, or simply shown great determination, this award recognises the progress they are making on their writing journey.
In Years 5 and 6, the Peer-to-Peer Award gives classmates the chance to vote for someone who has demonstrated the value of the half term. This term, our focus is independence, and it’s inspiring to see pupils noticing and celebrating this quality in one another.
Finally, the Above and Beyond Award is chosen by teachers each week to acknowledge a child who has truly stood out. This might be through excellent learning, positive behaviour, noticeable progress, or exceptional effort and focus. It’s a special way of recognising those moments when children exceed expectations.
We love sharing these achievements with families, so children can feel proud of their hard work and continue to grow with confidence.
We will share these certificates each week. The certificates shown here are from last week, as pupils complete their Star Writes on Fridays. Teachers then need time to assess the writing and select their Star Writer.
