Welcome to Derwentwater Primary School where we have been educating generations of families in Acton since 1905.

Whilst we retain a strong sense of tradition and history, we are forward thinking and innovative in our approach to educating and nurturing the young children of our local community.

Our broad and rich curriculum is taught by a team of passionate staff who truly go the extra mile to inspire, support and challenge every child to achieve beyond what they thought possible.

We offer the widest range of enrichment experiences to ensure our pupils thrive and leave us prepared for success at secondary school and beyond. From school trips and special guests to clubs and competitions, our offer is constantly evolving, allowing them the chance to explore new interests, learn new skills and grow in confidence.

Our remarkable school grounds boast an edible garden, well-resourced play areas and extensive playgrounds, providing an exceptional outdoor learning environment. We are fortunate to have our own onsite nursery which focuses on giving children a head start in their educational journey, nurturing creative minds with a focus on discovery, investigation and exploration through play.

There really is a strong sense of community at Derwentwater Primary School as pupils, staff and families from an array of backgrounds come together in unity. Here, individuality thrives and is celebrated, as we respect what makes us different, as well as the same.
