Have you included...
A good portion of starchy food e.g. roll, wholemeal bread, chapatti, pitta, wrap, pasta or rice salad?

Plenty of fruit and vegetables e.g. an apple, satsuma, cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks, mini can of fruit chunks in natural juice or raisins?

A portion of a dairy food e.g. semi skimmed milk, cheese or pot of yoghurt?

A portion lean meat, fish (e.g. ham, chicken, tuna), humous, cheese, egg or beans?

A drink e.g. water, fruit juice, semi-skimmed milk?

Our School’s lunchbox policy
Following discussion with pupils, staff, governors and parents, the following lunchbox guidelines have been agreed by the school community:

The following foods should not be included in lunchboxes:
· Fizzy drinks, fruit juice drinks (other than 100% pure juice), sugary drinks, artificially sweetened drinks
· Sweets and chocolates
· Chewing gum
· Chocolate spread as a filling for sandwiches
· Jam as a filling for sandwiches
· Nuts. Many children suffer from nut allergy so we cannot take the risk of having nuts in school.
The following foods should only be once per week-perhaps Friday?
· Crisps / Similar salty snacks / a chocolate biscuit

Please note that in the interests of safety and care for the environment NO GLASS BOTTLES and try to use packaging and containers that are re-usable.
